The iPhone 16 series, which is expected to launch within a year, is rumored to add a new button: a dedicated capture button specifically for video recording. According to the recent weekly Power On newsletter from Mark Gurman on Bloomberg, the tech giant is considering adding a new button in the upcoming iPhone 16 series, known as the “Capture button.”
What this button does is, it helps people capture video quickly and easily. Unlike regular buttons, the Capture button does not physically move when pressed. Instead, it will use a technology called haptic feedback, which will provide a responsive sensation when touched.
According to Gurman’s leaks, recent prototypes of the iPhone 16 have added this button on the right side of the phone, for convenient access. Moreover, the button is expected to provide other functionalities based on the applied pressure.
For instance, gentle pressure can activate the camera for taking a photo, whereas applying more pressure may start video recording.
Other Leaks On iPhone 16
The upcoming iPhone 16 Pro is likely to be equipped with A18 Pro chips. Apple is also rumored to increase the battery capacities, allowing them to perform better. Also, iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will have 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screens.
But people say that iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max may have larger screens, around 6.23 inches and 6.85 inches.
It’s important to mention that all these details come from leaks and rumors, so it’s a good idea not to rely on them completely. Keep in mind that Apple has not yet made any official announcement regarding the iPhone 16 series.
