Stolen Device Protection Feature in iOS 17.3 update
One of the notable and most useful features that has been added in iOS 17.3 is Stolen Device Protection. Stolen Device Protection is a new feature that enhances the security of your iPhone by requiring you to use your fingerprint or Face ID for certain tasks, such as accessing your saved passwords or applying for an Apple Card.
This feature helps you keep your personal data safe on your iPhone if someone steals your passcode. The feature also introduces a security delay, which is a one-hour time limit, and an additional biometric verification for sensitive actions, such as changing your passcode or your Apple ID password. In this way, you can prevent unauthorized access to your iPhone settings.
Collaborative Music Playlist And Additional Features
Additionally, iOS 17.3 also includes a collaborative playlist feature in its Apple Music app, which allows you to invite your friends to join, create, and edit your playlists. They also added the New Unity Wallpaper to honor Black history and culture in celebration of Black History Month in the US.
Stream content directly to the TV
Apple has also added another new feature AirPlay in iOS 17.3. AirPlay Hotel allows you to stream your favorite content from your iPhone or iPad to the TV in your hotel room, as long as the hotel supports the feature. You can use AirPlay Hotel to watch movies, shows, music, photos, and more on the big screen.
To use this feature, you need to scan a QR code from your device to the TV, and then select the TV as your AirPlay. You can also control TV volume and power from your device.
