Instagram has announced a lot of new features and improvements coming to the app, starting from a temporary notes feature for Instagram Reels and feed posts. Also, the added the option to add multiple songs to a single Reels. Here’s a detailed look at these new features.
Temporary Notes On Reels and Posts
The Notes feature was launched in December 2022 by Instagram as a new way to share thoughts with friends. The feature exists in the Direct Messages section on top of all the messages. It is where users can post their own short messages and read messages from their friends.
But now, it is also expanding to Reels and grid posts. You can now create temporary notes that will disappear after three days. This feature is accessible from the Share menu.
Before sharing a note, you can select who can see it, either followers who follow you back or close friends. Tagging friends is also an option to let them know a note has been left for them.
These notes are only visible to recipients and are not even visible for Reels creators. However, creators can disable this option completely.
Add More Songs on Reels
Instagram has made another exciting change. Besides the addition of temporary notes, Instagram now lets you add multiple songs to a single Reel. Earlier, you could only add one song to a Reel, but now you can add several songs to make your Reels more fun and engaging.
