We all have those memorable moments from our favourite movies and TV shows, like when Thor says ” Bring Me Thanos” or Tony Stark snaps his fingers. Such iconic scenes often leave us cheering and now Netflix is making it easier to share those experiences with others through its new feature called “Moments.”
With the Moments feature, you can now capture your favourite scenes from your Netflix shows and movies. Once you capture or save a clip, you can revisit them any time you’d like. You can also share them with your friends via popular applications like Snapchat, WhatsApp or Instagram. Once they open the clip, the exact scene will load up to that point in the Netflix app.
The feature is easy to use. You have to just tap the Moments button while viewing, hit Save, and it saves the clip in the My Netflix tab. From there, you can view all of your saved clips or share them as you want. In case, you want to view a movie or an episode again, it will automatically begin from the scene that you have saved, though you will be able to start over if you want to do so.
Currently, the Moments feature is only available on the Netflix mobile app on iOS and will shortly be available for Android.
I’ve noticed that this feature is quite similar to YouTube Clips, which also allows users to record specific moments from videos and share them with others.
Many people are already sharing clips of popular shows and movies on social media, and the Moments feature encourages them to use the Netflix app. This could also help reduce the number of comments on Instagram Reels, where users often ask which show or movie the clip is from.
What do you think of the Moments feature? Have you had a chance to try it out? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
