Video calling on WhatsApp is about to get a whole lot better. The popular messaging app just announced that they are adding three new features for voice & video calls, that will make the calls experience on the app even better.
According to a recent blog post on WhatsApp, the first feature that has been added to WhatsApp is screen sharing with audio. This feature let you talk to the person with whom you are sharing your screen on WhatsApp. This feature was previously in beta testing but is now available to everyone.
Additionally, You can now add up to 32 users in a single group video call, across devices. Before this, WhatsApp video calls allowed for a maximum of 32 participants on mobile devices, while on Windows and macOS, the limit was capped at 16 and 8 participants, respectively.
WhatsApp will now also highlight the person who is speaking in a group call, making it easier to know who is talking. This makes it much easier to identify who is talking, reducing confusion and making conversations smoother and more organized.
WhatsApp has also introduced a new technology called Mlow Codec. It improves voice calls, making them clearer and reducing background noise, even if you have a poor network connection. This means that even if you are in an area with weak internet, you can still enjoy clear and uninterrupted discussions.
These new features are expected to be available in the coming weeks, so you should update your WhatsApp app to access them as soon as they are released.
These updates will not only improve the overall user experience but also make WhatsApp a more useful app for business and professional use.
